Respect.
The All Blacks cemented their recent return to the top of the World Rugby Rankings with a 19-17 over the world champion Springboks in the Rugby Championship this morning.
It looked like the Boks were going to get their season back on track following two successive defeats to Australia but a monster penalty from Jordie Barrett in the final minutes saw New Zealand snatch the win.
It was a hugely entertaining affair with each the new power nations trading tries inside the opening five minutes of action. But it was Ian Foster’s side who came away with the win leaving the Boks with nothing.
After the game All Blacks nine, TJ Perenara was being interviewed by the broadcasters and gave us a special moment off the pitch. The proud Maori paused his interview to stop and show respect to some New Zealand fans in the crowd who were performing a Haka for their victorious nation.
