Referee Lloyd Linton left an entire stadium bemused on Saturday night thanks to one of the most farcical decisions ever witness on a rugby pitch. With a little over ten minutes to go as the Scarlet’s took on the Cardiff Blues in the PRO12, Linton sin-binned flanker Aaron Shingler for apparently tackling a man off the ball.
The hilarious part however, was that it was in fact Shingler who was tackled, by none other than Cardiff outhalf, Steve Shingler- his brother!
Aaron and the entire stadium were absolutely bemused by the decision as was everyone watching at home.
According to Davies in the commentary box, Stephen Jones was apoplectic on the line.
Thankfully Scarlets held on to win 26-15. Check it out below.
