Well done boy.
James Furlong is one proud father today and he damn well should be. His son Tadhg did both him and his country proud in a man-of-the-match performance against England to seal the Grand Slam.
Furlong was simply incredible. His work-rate in defence, the solid-based he provided at scrum time, his impressive carries. And that’s before we even talk about his incredible pop pass to Bundee Aki in the build-up to CJ Stander’s try.
You might actually recognise Tadhg’s father James, as that’s actually him in Vodafone’s recent #TeamOfUs campaign video (above) that features the prop. The events in the film are based on actual moments from anecdotes that the players shared, making the clip below all that more special.
It's a real pity the homecoming was cancelled, but you can't get any closer to Grand Slam celebrations than this.
