Matt Toomua played his first game for Leicester last night.
The Wallabie’s debut however, didn’t go quite according to plan. Mere minutes into the game the centre committed a really dangerous tackle on Finn Russell which sparked controversy on the pitch and all over social media.
Upon reviewing the incident, the referee decided it was only a yellow card offence despite there being plenty room to warrant a red card offence. Thankfully Russell was injured as he put his arm out to break the fall.
Glasgow ran out massive bonus point winners in the end, but Leicester will be more worried now about a possible citing, than the points they lost out on last night.
