Shane Williams is set for an emotional return to the Principality Stadium.
The Welsh legend dusted off his boots to play with his local side Amman this past weekend, coming on after 18 minutes in their National Bowl semi-final against Cardigan, which they won 29-3.
Amman go to the final in Cardiff on 16 April where they will play Caerphilly in Wales’ national stadium. Williams expects to be available for the final even after picking up a hairline fracture to his jaw.
“It is brilliant for the club and the village to reach the Principality Stadium,” said Williams.
“I always said I would try and play a couple of games with my brother for Amman before I hang up my boots for good and they asked me if I wanted to be considered for the semi-final.
The former Wales and Lions star definitely hasn’t lost it judging by some of the highlights below. Class is permanent.
