It doesn’t get much cheekier than this…
The Springbok Sevens team beat Australia 19-14 in a dramatic Plate Final at the Dubai Sevens on Saturday.
It all looked to be over for the Blitzboks at the interval as they trailed 14-0 to an impressive Australian side. A late charge however rattled the Australians and South Africa went on to win the contest in extra time.
Kwagga Smith crossed the line early in the second half to bring his side back into the contest before, in the final minutes, Cheslin Kolbe somehow managed to dance his way past several Australian defenders before going over.
Knowing his side needed the conversion to send the game into extra time, Kolbe decided to be extra cheeky in an attempt to ensure the points by offloading to Kwagga Smith to get under the posts.
Thankfully his pass worked out a Smith touched down. Justin Geduld then stepped up to slot home the easy conversion to force the game into extra-time.
Check out the amazing run and ridiculously cheeky pass from Cheslin Kolbe in the clip below.
