Ouch.
Leinster made light work of Wasps last night, demolishing the Premiership side 52-3 at the RDS Arena in Dublin. The Irish province went on such a rampage – even the referee got caught up in a sea of blue.
With just minutes remaining, referee on the night Roman Poite found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time – getting accidentally laid out by back-row Rhys Ruddock.
The Ireland international is 6ft 3in and weights close to 18 stone, and Poite pretty much got all of that at once – straight into the back. The Frenchman lay motionless on the ground for a moment and eventually had to leave the field of play.
No doubt he’ll be sore this morning!
The referee is taken out!
