In case you’ve been living under a rock, Ireland were crowned Grand Slam champions yesterday for just the third time in their history.

Tries from Garry Ringrose, CJ Stander and Jacob Stockdale, all in the first-half, proved to be enough as they secured a famous victory over old rivals England in Twickenham.

It’s been a pretty special campaign for Ireland since day on. The drama in Paris drove the team on, and ever since that sensational drop goal, Irish fans had a feeling this could be their year.

Three consecutive bonus-point wins against Italy, Wales and Scotland respectively followed, with the Championship in the bag with a full round to spare. It’s been an incredible year so far for Ireland, who will now be hoping they can go down and win a Test series in Australia.
