The North Queensland Cowboys beat the Canberra Raiders 20-16 in the NRL this morning thanks to one of the craziest tries you will ever see on a rugby pitch.
With the two sides tied 16-16 in the 84th minute, Cowboys star Johnathan Thurston went for a match-winning drop goal which won have won his side the game as it was in sudden death overtime.
The ball however incredibly bounced off the crossbar and stayed in play, allowing Cowboy’s second row Gavin Cooper to swoop and score the match-winning try.
