Mic’d up.
Munster recovered well on Saturday night after a poor opening 40 minutes against bottom of the conference Zebre at Thomond Park.
The spirited Italian side shot into a 12-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes with tries from Jamie Elliott and Roberto Tenga to leave the Limerick crown in complete shock. But Munster fought back thanks to a try from Jeremy Loughman just before the break to shorten Zebre’s lead to just 7 points.
Rhys Marshall then levelled things up on 54 minutes before late tries from Mike Haley, Darren Sweetnam and Niall Haley put some gloss on the scoreline with Munster securing a 31-12 victory in the end.
