Another defeat.
Italy suffered yet another defeat in the Six Nations this afternoon at the hands of France – falling to a 25-14 defeat at the Stadio Olimpico.
But things could have played out a lot differently had Italy not spurned an incredible chance with just minutes left on the clock. With Italy trailing by just six points Marco Zanon looked like he was heading into the corner for a try…
No try❌

But the debutant failed to switch the ball to his other hand and looked to have begun his celebrations a little too early before Damian Penaud got in for an incredible try-saving tackle – dislodging the ball with his hand to prevent the score.
The Italians then gifted possession back to France with a missed lineout not long after and Les Blues sealed the game shortly after with a try from none other than Penaud. Italy finish the Six Nations without even a singular point.
