In case you haven’t heard yet, Ireland beat the All Blacks on Saturday.
Joe Schmidt’s men provided us with an awe-inspiring performance, defeating rugby giants New Zealand by 40-29, ending an astonishing 111 year wait. It truly was a game for the ages, that will live long in world rugby sporting memory.
Before the game Ireland lined up in a special figure of eight as they faced down the infamous haka. The eight was to pay tribute to the late Anthony Foley as Saturday marked Ireland’s first test match since his tragic passing.
The performance on the pitch lived up to the magic of the tribute beforehand. Ireland ran in five tries in total in a truly magnificent performance with Jordi Murphy, CJ Stander, Conor Murray, Simon Zebo and Robbie Henshaw all grabbing a try each.
Irish Rugby have now this morning released an awesome behind the scenes video which shows the Ireland team in the dressing room as they prepare for the huge occasion and the wonderful celebrations afterwards.
Check it out below.
