Pinpoint.
Ireland exacted revenge on the Wallabies this morning, securing a 26-21 win at the AAMI Park in Melbourne after last weekend’s opening Test defeat in Brisbane.
The men in green completely dominated proceedings in the first-half, and had the upper hand in the second – but failed to fully capitalise on a lot of their chances and perhaps should have killed the game off earlier.
But head coach Joe Schmidt will be happy overall. Returning big guns Johnny Sexton and Tadhg Furlong were a class apart at times, while skipper Peter O’Mahony led from the front and was immense throughout.

Conor Murray also had an excellent game, after being left frustrated much of last week. His pass for Conway’s opening Ireland try was particularly impressive.
With the series now tied at 1-1, you’d have to fancy Ireland to win the series based on today’s performance. But the Wallabies must not be underestimated. It’s all to play for next week.
