Magic.
Blackrock College booked their place in the Leinster Schools Senior Cup semi-final yesterday with a hard-fought 19-17 win over St. Gerard’s College.
But it was a moment of absolute magic from a player on the losing side that has everyone talking. Centre Cormac Foley’s incredible solo-effort may have been in vain. But by god it was some try.
The highly-rated young star put an inch-perfect chip in behind the Blackrock defence, that he gathered himself for one of the tries of the season. Regardless of competition.
Foley is no doubt one to watch, having already represented Leinster at age-grade level. He can play in multiple positions across the backline, and with skills like this, he’s got a bright future ahead of him.
