This past week has been one of the most difficult in recent memory for the rugby world.
Anthony Foley tragically passed away on the 16th of October, hours before he was set to lead his players into battle against Racing 92 in the Champions Cup first round.
Since the heartbreaking news, the rugby world has rallied together in support and tribute to one of the finest player’s the game as ever seen in its long history. A 2006 Heineken Cup winning captain, Foley will be forever remembered for the huge mark he made on our beloved game.
This past weekend, business resumed on the pitch for all teams involved in the Champions Cup, including Munster, with his club as well as everyone else, uniting in tribute. Huge fair play to all involved.
This past week proved once again that nothing comes close to the values and respect that exist within our beautiful game.
