Brilliant.
Donncha O’Callaghan’s mother Marie and Alan Quinlan’s mammy Mary were among the many Munster supporters who made the trip to South Africa to catch the southern province’s two-game tour.
It was a hugely successful inaugural trip for all involved. The players were given a opportunity to recharge in a warm weather camp, they bagged two wins from two and the fans got a lovely holiday out of it.
Marie and Mary were interviewed after the game by Supersports’ Warren Brosnihan, and they couldn’t speak highly enough of the travelling support.
“There’s no team like Munster. There’s no place like Munster. So you all have to come to Munster to experience it.” Marie O’Callaghan said.
Mary Quinlan absolutely loved here trip, and had some lovely things to say about South Africa and its people.
“We were everywhere.” she said
“There’s been so many (highlights)”
“To be our age and to get over here and see all that was fantastic.
In typical mammy fashion she also asked Brosnihan, a former Springbok, for his name after he said he had played against Alan Quinlan before.
“Can you tell me your name so as I can tell my son?!”
