Darren Sweetnam has been a revelation for Munster this season. The former GAA star, turned professional rugby player was given a chance at the start of the season by new boss Rassie Erasmus, and boy has he taken it with both hands- literally.
The winger has proved to be an unbelievable threat under the high ball, with some of the best hands we’ve ever seen on a rugby pitch thanks to his GAA background. He has become a mainstay on Munster’s right wing and looks set for an Ireland call-up this summer.
Munster’s 2017 Young Player of the Year sat down with TG4 ahead of Munster’s PRO12 clash against Irish rivals Connacht today, in a brilliant interview that’s well worth a watch. An exciting talent, but an even better accent.
