There’s only one boss here.
All Blacks captain Kieran Read and referee Nigel Owens shared a brilliant moment in this morning’s Rugby Championship match between New Zealand and South Africa.
With the All Blacks leading by 38-0, it looked like they may have gotten in for another one with hooker Codie Taylor using his momentum to charge to the line. Referee Nigel Owens however, went upstairs and the try was not given as Taylor was held up.
As he was looking Owens and Read joked that they’d take the scrum. Owens promptly responded that he’d take “what I decide!”
Turns out Read was right, as Owens awarded the scrum. Oh and the All Blacks scored a try off it and now lead 43-0. Wait they’ve just scored another.
Make that 50-0.
