Madness.
Things got a little heated on the Gold Coast this morning following Australia’s surprise defeat to Argentina in week four of the Rugby Championship.
Aussie flanker Lukhan Tui was involved in a heated scuffle with a fan in the stands following the loss, with Wallabies boss Michael Cheika revealing Tui is considering his international future as a result of it.
21-year-old Tui, who’s stepfather died on Wednesday, was pulled away by his teammates following the incident next to the players’ tunnel. According to Cheika, Tui’s sister was pushed by the angry fan.
“I hope the fan’s happy.” Cheika told Fox Sports TV
“That’s a pretty heavy thing to happen. He’s just said in the dressing room to the players he’s not going to be playing any more because of that incident.”
Check out the incident below.
Woah. Understand frustration from wallabies fans, but no room for this. Ugly at the Gold Coast. Push and shove between fans and players pic.twitter.com/rIduG6ajgj
