Mind your own business.
Wales head coach Warren Gatland has fired back at England boss Eddie Jones after his comments about Wales ahead of their huge Six Nations Grand Slam clash with Ireland at the Principality on Saturday.
England need Wales to lose on Saturday if they are to have any chance of winning the Championship, and Jones has been trying to get inside their heads by stating they “look tired” ahead of their huge decider.
“Well I think it’s a fascinating close to the tournament. You’ve got three teams who can win it.” Jones said
“Wales are a very good team, very well coached. Great credit to them for what they’ve done but they are starting to look a bit tired.”
“They’ve made more tackles than anyone else in the tournament and they’re playing an Ireland side that seems to be peaking at the right time.”
“You look at guys like Conor Murray, Sexton, Ringrose, O’Mahony – guys that weren’t in great form at the start of the tournament are now starting to come to their fore.”
But Gatland is having absolutely none of it. He as blasted Jones for even talking about their game in the first place and says England have “made a hell of a lot more tackles than us in this tournament” which is actually correct.
“What the hell is Eddie Jones doing talking about our game?,” Gatland asked.
“If it was me, I would be concentrating on playing Scotland. I’ve got no comment on Eddie Jones talking about us.”
“If you look at the stats, England have made a hell of a lot more tackles than us in this tournament.”
“My advice to Eddie is to concentrate on the Scotland match.”
