A timely boost for Rob Howley and his Wales team ahead of the Six Nations championship.
Scrumhalf Gareth Davies is set to make his return to action for the Scarlets in their Champions Cup finale against Sale Sharks on Saturday, after recovering from an injury scare.
Davies missed last weekend’s dramatic, last minute 22-22 draw with defending champions Saracens at Parc y Scarlets after picking up a shin injury the week before against Ulster in the PRO12.
The enigmatic nine, one of three scrumhalves in Rob Howley’s Six Nations squad, is back in full training and set to be named in the match-day squad for the trip to the Premiership strugglers.
Wales open up their Six Nations account against Conor O’Shea’s Italy on February 5th.
