Munster’s move into a new purpose built High Performance Centre in UL marks a new era for the province as the squad hope to reap the rewards from their first ever single training base.
In its third week of operation the new facility also houses the Greencore Munster Rugby Academy and part of the Domestic Game, with Munster players, coaches and staff all operating from one centre.
Designed by award-winning Dublin architect David Lennon of Reddy Architects & Urbanism, the centre is located adjacent to the existing UL Arena and is part of an overall €10m-plus construction. The state-of-the-art training facilities incorporate an extensive gym, medical and physiotherapy treatment rooms, offices, changing rooms, analysis suite, meeting rooms and a 65-seat auditorium.
