France bound?
With Paddy Jackson’s reported move to Sale seemingly after falling through, the former Ulster and Ireland outhalf is still on the lookout for a new club ahead of next season.
His former teammate has had better luck – signing a two-year deal with Brive this week. But surely it’s only a matter of time before someone snaps up the man who not too long ago was Ireland’s second-choice outhalf behind Johnny Sexton.
Former Ulster coach Jono Gibbes has reportedly sounded him out about potentially joining him at Mitre 10 side Waikato, but you would imagine Jackson would prefer to stay in Europe in the right offer comes along.
Well the right offer could be right around the corner, with Olding’s new club Brive said to be interested in bringing him in too, along with newly promoted Perpignan.
Reports in France claim that both sides have been on the market for an outhalf and have their eye firmly on Jackson. What does the future hold for Paddy Jackson? It looks like we’ll find out soon enough.
