Two Changes Expected In Probable Ireland Team To Face Wales This Weekend

Round 2.

Ireland boss Andy Farrell looks set to go with the same team he put out against Scotland bar two enforced changes for their Round 2 clash with Wales at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this weekend.

Garry Ringrose was today ruled out until Round 4 of the Championship at the very least after injuring his finger on Saturday, and will likely be replaced the same man that replaced him at half-time against Scotland, Robbie Henshaw.

Caelan Doris also looks set to miss out after he was forced off after just five minutes on Saturday following a nasty clash of heads with one of his teammates. Peter O’Mahony is expected to once again come straight back in as he did against Scotland with Stander shifting back to number eight.

Elsewhere it’s the exact same starting team that defeated Scotland 19-12 on the opening day. Tadhg Furlong is a slight doubt but signs point toward him being declared fit.

Will Addison could take Robbie Henshaw’s spot on the bench.

Dave Kilcoyne is also a doubt after he was also forced off following a head clash. He along with Doris will follow return to play protocols. Will Addison looks like a likely option to cover the number 23 jersey given his versatility, while Jack O’Donoghue could come in to cover the back-row.
