Simon Mannix is planning on building a French Munster legion if you are to believe the latest reports in the French press. French rugby correspondent Gavin Mortimer concluded his round-up of the latest from Midi Olympique with an interesting story from Pau.
Toulouse have been heavily linked with a move for Zebo, whose Munster contract expires next summer. However, it seems Pau are attempting to convince Zebo to link up with some former teammates.
Mannix, Munster’s former back’s coach, has brought James Coughlan, Sean Dougall and Paddy Butler to the south west of France in recent seasons and now it seems he’s attempting his biggest Munster coup yet. Stade Francais are also name checked in the report but Pau, although not one of the traditional big hitters, may prove enticing to Zebo.
