Aaron Cruden is a wanted man.
The New Zealander’s contract is set to expire at the end 2017 and he is said to have already sent out his agent to look for potential suitors in Europe. Cruden is frustrated at his lack of chances in the national side due to the phenomenal form of Beauden Barrett.
It was reported earlier in the week that both Worcester and Harlequins had both declared their interest in the outhalf, apparently willing to match his whopping wage demands of £750,000 per year.
It now seems Montpellier, who will have fellow New Zealander, Vern Cotter at the helm next season, are not upping their chase of the Chiefs playmaker and set to offer him a mega contract.
Montpellier are no strangers to spending after it was reported yesterday that they are set to make Cotter the highest paid coach in the world.
