Peter O’Mahony’s world cup is over. Johnny Sexton’s return is hopeful, although as yet unofficial, it seems certain that Paul O’Connell’s Ireland career is over.
Irish Rugby have yet to confirm but it’s rumoured that O’Connell has suffered an avulsion of the hamstring, which is the medical term for saying that it was torn away from the bone.
