Final straight.
Just three games remain in the Guinness PRO14 regular season with all four Irish provinces all in with a shout of making the play-offs.
Leinster are already there, having secured top spot in Conference B a few weeks back in record time, while Munster (second currently in Conference A) look pretty safe for a quarter final spot at the very least.
Connacht and Ulster meanwhile are both sitting in play-off spots as things stand with the former third in Conference A and the latter 2nd in Conference B. But this weekend will tell a massive story with the provinces in a position to help each other out.
Up first it’s Munster vs Cardiff on Friday night with the southern province needing a win to keep the heat on Glasgow Warrior who are just 3 points ahead of them in Conference A. Cardiff meanwhile are level on points with Connacht in the same Conference, meaning the western province could really do with their provincial rivals getting the win.
At the same time Ulster are playing Glasgow Warriors over at Scotstoun, with Munster obviously hoping Dan McFarland’s men can get a win over the Scottish side so they can take top spot.
Connacht can’t really help anyone out when they play Zebre, but Leinster take on Benetton in the late kick-off on Saturday. The Italian side are just four points behind Ulster who will be hoping their Champions Cup quarter final opponents can do them a favour.
Should be a cracking weekend.
