Is Europe ready for the Honey Badger?
The much publicized spat between Bordeaux and Australia was front and centre this week. The club’s president are not happy with the fact that Adam Ashley-Cooper was called into the Wallabies squad for the upcoming Rugby Championship, despite telling the owners that he was retired from international duty upon signing after last year’s Rugby World Cup.
It now seems that Bordeaux will now look to none other than the Honey Badger himself, Nick Cummins to come in on a short-term deal to replace Ashley-Cooper while he’s away on duty. The fellow Australian is currently not in Michael Cheika’s plans and could be about to tear it up in the Top 14 this season, albeit on a short-term deal.
How the French are going to understand a word he says, remains to be seen.
