Sonny Bill Williams is simply class.
Williams warmed our hearts with a powerful image of him consoling South Africa’s Jess Kriel following his side’s semi-final loss, then he did the amazing by gifting his Rugby World Cup winners medal to a young fan who had been tackled unfairly by a steward.
This time Sonny Bill has gone out and made an old man’s week by simply offering him a lift, according to Stuff.co.nz:
The sevens squad had been at one of their appointments in Wellington on Thursday when it’s understood star player Sonny Bill Williams saw a man wearing a Hurricanes scarf waiting on the side of the road for a bus and suggested to the van driver that they pick him up.
The man, who said it was his birthday was on Thursday, was quite chuffed at the generosity and most thankful, though may not have been aware of the identity of Williams.
