Number one.
Wales officially became the number one ranked team in the world on Monday thanks to their 13-6 win over rivals England at the Principality Stadium last Saturday.
Previous holders New Zealand had occupied the top spot for the best part of a decade, but were unable to retain their position despite a 36-0 demolition of Australia to retain the Bledisloe Cup.
But do Wales deserve to be ranked as the best team in the world? – especially considering they haven’t beaten the mighty All Blacks since 1953.

Well according to these stats Gatland’s men most certainly do. In the last 12 months Wales have lost just one game, with the current world champions losing three and drawing one more in the same period, leaving Wales with a 90.9% win rate and New Zealand with just 78.5%.
The All Blacks also have just one win against a top 4 side in the last 12 months while Wales have an impressive three. And on top of all that Wales have beaten all three sides that the All Blacks have lost to in the last 12 months.
