Sky Sports pundits Scott Quinnell, Rory Lawson, Will Greenwood, and Alan Quinlan have cast their eyes over the final round of the Six Nations and selected their Lions XVs.
Up first let’s take a look at Greenwood’s selection. The former England centre has gone with a rather surprising selection with not one Irishman in his backline, leaving no room for the likes of Conor Murray and Jonny Sexton.
He has also gone with CJ Stander at eight and Itoje at six as opposed to the second-row where many feel he is better suited.
Alan Quinlan on the other hand has Murray and Sexton as the Lions halfback combination and Stander at six, leaving the eight slot free for Billy Vunipola to slot in. He’s also gone with 2013 captain Sam Warburton at seven.
Scott Quinnell has gone and picked his Lions team of the week as opposed to an overall team of the tournament. Based on the weekend’s showing he’s gone with a huge amount of Irish players after their win over England. The former Welsh hooker has an all Irish front-row as well as a complete Irish midfield.
Rory Lawson has also gone for a team of the week with the Irish once again dominating.
