Siya Kolisi – “I Have Never Seen South Africa Like This. We Were Playing For The People Back Home.”

Champions.

The Springboks have done it. South Africa are your 2019 Rugby World Cup champions following a hugely impressive 32-12 win over England in the final.

Rassie Erasmus’ side completely dominated England at scrum time, who lost tighthead prop Kyle Sinckler after just 3 minutes following a nasty bang to the head with Dan Cole replacing him.

Tries from wingers Mapimpi and Kolbe sealed a famous win and captain Siya Kolisi could barely hold back his emotions after the game.

“I have never seen South Africa like this,” Kolisi said.

“We were playing for the people back home. We can achieve anything if we work together as one.”

Head coach Rassie Erasmus said the Boks “never felt alone in Japan.”

“We never felt alone here in Japan. We felt our fans support all the way.” Erasmus said.

“We love them and can’t wait to get back home.”
