Three Irish players named in Six Nations All-Time Greatest XV

Best of the best.

The 2025 Six Nations is set to kick off in a matter of weeks with Ireland looking to defend their crown for a third successive year.

The men in green have dominated in recent years but it’s England who still hold the most titles with seven Six Nations championships. Ireland can equal that haul with a win this year as they currently sit on six titles, with two Grand Slams among them.

But from a playing perspective, who would you include in an all-time greatest Six Nations XV?

Popular magazine Rugby World have had a go with the breakdown consisting of – 5 Wales, 4 France, 3 Ireland, 2 England, 1 Italy.

The three Irishmen who have made the list are – Keith Wood, Paul O’Connell, and Brian O’Driscoll.
