It’s that time of the year again.
Simon Zebo’s CV is doing the rounds in France at the moment, according to a report in The Rugby Paper this morning.
The Munster winger’s contract is up at the end of the season, but it’s unknown if he is seriously thinking about making the move, or just using the interest as leverage for a new deal.
He has said in the past that he does want to play in France before he retires, and speaks the language fluently due to family connections. Pau, who have a huge Munster contingent, have expressed interest.
At just 27 years of age, it could all come down to what Joe Schmidt and the IRFU have to say, and if they’re willing to help Munster retain Zebo. The southern province will not be able to match an offer in France without their help. Zebo currently isn’t on a central contract.
