Johnny Sexton finally reacts to Rieko Ioane joining Leinster with hilarious comment
Rivals.
Johnny Sexton is currently hard at it with the British & Irish Lions in Dublin, helping to get them ready for Argentina this weekend, having been named as part of Andy Farrell’s coaching ticket for the tour of Australia.
Sexton moved into coaching with Ireland during the Six Nations earlier this year, having hung up his boots following the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
His final game came against the All Blacks in the quarter-final stages, with a certain incident with Rieko Ioane making headlines.
Ioane is now set to join Sexton’s former club Leinster on a sabbatical next season, similar to the deal done with Jordie Barrett this season, and the Irishman has finally had his say on the surprise move.
“Wow, save the best for last,” he said.
“I purchased my Munster season ticket last week, put it that way…”
Brilliant.
