No luck.
Sean O’Brien’s Ireland comeback ended in the worst possible way against Argentina tonight, when the Leinster flanker was forced off in the first-half in what looks to be another serious injury.
The 31-year-old has endured a torrid time over the last couple of seasons with injury after injury. The man has absolutely no luck, and now looks set to be sidelined once again for a lengthy period.
O’Brien had to use his jersey as a sling and looked to be in some pain when the medical team assessed him. Our guess is he has some form of arm fracture. As soon as we have an update we’ll be sure to let you know.
Here’s hoping it’s not as serious as we think.
Update: Joe Schmidt has confirmed Sean O’Brien has broken his arm and will undergo surgery on it.
