Last eight.
The pool stages of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan have come to an end and we now know who our eight quarter-finalists are.
Wales’ win over Uruguay this morning ensured they finished top of Pool D, setting up a quarter-final tie with Six Nations rivals France next Sunday. Australia’s prize for finishing second meanwhile is a quarter-final clash with England next Saturday.
And now with Japan defeating Scotland, the hosts have finished top of Pool A, meaning they will face the Springboks in the last eight. Scotland’s defeat means they are out with Ireland set to face holders New Zealand in the other quarter-final.
