On this day seven years ago the mighty All Blacks descended upon Thomond Park in a re-match for the ages.
Today however marks a sad day for rugby as the greatest rugby player the world has even known – Jonah Tali Lomu sadly passed away due a longstanding battle with a rare kidney disease. On this day seven years ago the man himself was in Limerick to not only witness the magical game but also to turn on the cities Christmas lights the night before.
An absolute gentleman both on and off the pitch today we remember Jonah and the All Blacks – a memory that will long live in the hearts of Limerick.
Thank you Jonah.
