Slapped.
La Rochelle head coach Ronan O’Gara and Bordeaux’s Christophe Urios got into a heated touchline row over the weekend, with the former Ireland and Munster out-half ending up on the receiving end of a slap from his fellow Top 14 coach.
Following a big turnover for O’Gara’s side, the Irishman was clearly fired up but Urios clearly wasn’t impressed with his actions, confronting the Corkman and raising his hand before the pair were pulled apart.
Fortunately for O’Gara, he had the last laugh, with La Rochelle’s Ihaia West kicking a penalty in the 82nd minute to win it for last year’s Top 14 finalists.
The two sides are set to meet again this weekend in the Champions Cup before a third successive clash the following week in the second leg of the Round of 16. Get the popcorn ready.
