Robbie Henshaw is most wanted man in Ireland right now and Connacht look to have a huge battle on their hands if they want to keep the Irish centre.
The 22 year old is out of contract in the summer and has hinted that he may be forced to leave Connacht in order for him to further his career and play at the highest club level. Original reports have suggested that he may be tempted by a move to Dublin with three-time European champions Leinster. Leinster have not yet commented on the situation but many have argued that with the depth that the province currently have in that position – a move would be unlikely.
Many supporters have had their say with most suggesting perhaps he should remain with Connacht, however our sources suggest that Munster are keen on a move for the centre and will hold talks this weekend as Connacht visit Thomond Park. Henshaw is expected to be given a tour of the facilities in a bid to convince the centre to make the move to Limerick. Anthony Foley refused to give any details away today saying it would be unfair to comment given the fact that they have a game this weekend. He did however admit that they would love to have a player of his calibre with Munster.
It’s safe to say this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this.
