New Zealand utility back Robbie Fruean is reportedly on his way to the PRO12.
The former Crusaders man has endured a torrid time with injury since move to English side Bath, with hamstring and knee problems. Fruean also previously recovered from two open heart operations.
He came of the bench in Bath’s Challenge Cup semi-final loss to Stade Francais and grabbed a try in an excellent cameo. He has only played a handful of times for the Premiership side since joining earlier this season, but is now set for a move to Edinburgh according to The Rugby Paper.
Richard Cockerill will take over at the struggling Scottish side next season, with Fruean said to already have had a medical ahead of a move next season.
No doubt if Fruean can stay fit, he will be seen as a massive coup for Edinburgh.
