Former Leicester Tigers boss Richard Cockerill is set to take over at Edinburgh.
Cockerill is currently working in an advisory role with Toulon alongside Mike Ford, but according to The Rugby Paper’s Neil Fissler, is set to join the the PRO12 side after a dramatic turn of events.
The Worcester Warriors were also said to be hot on the heels of Cockerill, but have decided not to make a counter offer, after Edinburgh put a deal on the table.
The Premiership strugglers are said to be hesitant in making a decision on who will coach them next season, until their future is secured.
Gary Gold recently took over on a short-term basis at the Warriors, and could remain past this season should he manage to keep them up.
