JJ Hanrahan could be on his way back to Munster.
The Irish playmaker left the southern province back in 2015 in favour of a move across the pond to Premiership side, Northampton, due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
The former IRB Junior World Player Of The Year nominee has struggled however since leaving Limerick and his future with Northampton was put in doubt earlier this season by the fact that Hanrahan was not included in a host of Saints players to receive new contracts over the summer.
He has featured from the bench in most of his appearances for the Premiership side and with Stephen Myler very much the starting outhalf, coupled with the emergence of Harry Malinder at the club- his time in England may be coming to a close.
Munster duo Tyler Bleyendall and Ian Keatley both have contracts that are expiring at the end of the season, and the IRFU will no doubt back Munster in bringing Hanrahan back to Munster in favour of the Kiwi Bleyendaal.
Talks are said to be at an very early stage, but sources suggest Munster have indeed reached out to Hanrahan about a possible move back to Limerick.
