Mike Brown made contact with Conor Murray’s head at a ruck in the Ireland and England game at Twickenham on Saturday.
The England fullback made several attempts to kick the ball which resulted in Murray requiring stitches close to his eye. There has been outrage on social media with many believing Brown should have been punished for the incident.
Despite this reports are coming in this morning from Daily Mirror rugby correspondent Alex Spink, who has stated that Mike Brown will not be cited for what many believed were ‘reckless’ actions. As soon as we have official word, we will update you on the situation.
Mike Brown will NOT be cited for his boot to the head of Conor Murray in England’s win over Ireland. #6Nations
