Concrete jungle.
Former Ireland and Munster fullback Simon Zebo is set to fly in for talks with MLR franchise Rugby United New York about a potential move to the American club, according to RugbyPass.
The ambitious franchise have already signed Mathieu Bastareaud ahead of the new season with former England international Ben Foden already on their books, having signed ahead of their first full season in the competition last year. Former Leinster outhalf Cathal Marsh is also part of their set-up.
The report also adds that they are set to complete a move for retired Wallabies fullback Drew Mitchell who is set to dust off his boots after being relieved from his duties as a pundit with Fox Sports in Australia.
And it doesn’t stop there. Former England captain Chris Robshaw is also set to join Zebo in New York for talks as they continue their ambitious plans. Robshaw turns 34 in June and is no longer part of Eddie Jones’ plans with England.
Zebo meanwhile turns 30 in March and is out of contract with Racing at the end of the season. A move back to Munster has been mooted but a chance to ply his trade in the Big Apple might be too good to turn down.
