Saracens’ opening match in defence of their European Rugby Champions Cup title against RC Toulon at Stade Félix Mayol on Saturday, 15 October will be refereed by John Lacey of Ireland.
Lacey, who will be taking charge of his 51st European fixture, is among the referee appointments for Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2016/17 Champions Cup and Challenge Cup announced today by a selection committee chaired by Joel Jutge, EPCR’s Head of Match Officials.
