Signing and a half.
Munster Rugby and the IRFU earlier today confirmed that Graham Rowntree will join the province as forwards coach on completion of his duties with Georgia Rugby at the Rugby World Cup later this year.
The southern province have been forced into the market due to the departures of forwards coach Jerry Flannery and backs coach Felix Jones, with Rowntree set to replace the former.
While it’s perhaps more important that Munster get their new backs coach appointment spot on, bringing someone in of Rowntree’s stature and experience has to be seen as massive coup.
Rowntree has coached at the very highest level, working under Stuart Lancaster with England and coaching the British and Irish Lions on multiple tours, in a coaching career that has already spanned over a decade.
Understandably, the reaction to his appointment has been hugely positive.
Now that is a signing and a half!!!

Now if they rumours are true about Stephen Larkham potentially taking up the backs coach role, Munster fans will have a lot to get excited about ahead of next season.
