Gloucester may look to Simon Easterby to take over as their new head coach.
The Premiership side are sad to have South African Johan Ackermann at the top of their wish list, but The Rugby Paper are reporting that they may look to lure Irish Rugby coach Easterby to England should he turn them down.
It was revealed last week, once again by Neil Fissler of The Rugby Paper that Ackermann has been offered a one-year deal despite still being under contract.
Director of Rugby David Humphreys is said to have held talks with Ackermann and his club Gauteng, with him and his assistant said to be mulling over an offer.
Should they turn down the offer it’s reported that Gloucester will look to Easterby who has been working with the IRFU for the last three years.
