Job done.
The British and Irish Lions got their tour of South Africa off to the perfect start this evening with an eight-try, 56-14 win over the Sigma Lions.
Welshman Josh Adams bagged himself four tries, with man of the match Hamish Watson, Louis Rees-Zammit, Gareth Davies and Ali price all grabbing a try a piece in a complete rout of the hosts.
Up next the Lions face the Sharks who will no doubt be a sterner test.
But before that, here are your player ratings from today.
Stuart Hogg – 8
Made an excellent try-saving tackle on Sibusiso Sangwen and looked excellent under the high ball. Some lovely counter-attacks too
Louis Rees-Zammit – 7
Debut try after three minutes but kept quiet after that.
Chris Harris – 9
Went about his business so eloquently. Lovely chip for Rees-Zammit’s try.
Owen Farrell – 9
Eight from eight on the tee and vocal throughout. Best game Farrell has played in a long time.
Josh Adams – 10
Four tries, nuff said.
Finn Russell – 9
Looked like he was having fun out there. Majestic kick for one of Adams’ tries.
Ali Price – 7
Scored an excellent try bu lackluster in defence.
Wyn Jones – 7
Good solid performance.
Jamie George – 7
Hit all his lineouts and unlucky not to get his first try only for a cruel bounce.
Kyle Sinckler – 7
Couple of good carries and stuck all of his tackles.
Maro Itoje – 7
Looked a bit sloppy at times but impressed in the lineout.
Jonny Hill – 6
Quiet enough performance from the England international. Will need to do more to push for a Test place.
Courtney Lawes – 6
Pinged for a neck roll which cost the Lions a try. Still lacking in game time.
Hamish Watson – 10
Man of the match despite Adams scoring four tries. Pushing for a Test spot already.
Toby Faletau – 6
Stuck all of his tackles but still doesn’t look match-sharp.
